The “STEM Ahead" Competition is here
After the success of the previous "All-STEM, All-Stars" competition - that saw more than one hundred teachers participating and more than 230 entries submissions across Europe - the STEM Alliance wants to once again give teachers the chance to display how they engage students in STEM teaching!
Educators should not be left alone in inspiring thousands of young minds to pursue their dream careers with Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. This is why the STEM Alliance constantly provides teachers with the most effective learning activities, along with interactive teaching resources and engaging materials provided by our partners.
The focus of the "STEM Ahead" competition is the collaboration between STEM industry and companies with schools. Thus, extra points will be given to teachers who will benefit from the STEM Alliance initiatives like STEM Professionals Go Back To School scheme and the Teacher Discovery Placement scheme, as well as the STEM Alliance repository of practice and resources.
The "STEM Ahead" competition
The competition will start on the 4 September 2017 and end on 27 October 2017 at 11:59 PM (CET), and is open to all primary and secondary school teachers and career counsellors for primary/secondary school students working in countries of the European Union or associated to the European Union with a legal residence in one of these.
Participants can submit their entries in three different categories: Videos, Resources and Events. All participants who will finalize their submissions and do it on time before the deadline will get a certificate of participation.
Winners will be invited to a STEM Alliance event with special opportunities to attend workshops on innovative STEM education and STEM career guidance. The STEM Alliance will organise and cover the winners' flight to/from the event and accommodation.
