Distance Learning Activity #12 was a success!

The 12th Distance Learning Activity from Amgen Teach ended on 2nd March, with many teachers from Turkey sharing their experience and opinions on the oral and written language practices for conceptual and meaningful learning.

The discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Murat Gunel, academic consultant in Sabancı University and director of the Education Workshop, within the Development Workshop.

More than 200 teachers registered to participate in the DLA followed its development over the course of the week. During the first days of the DLA, teachers introduced themselves and shared their experience with teaching science and interest in improving their methods. Many of them actively posted in the discussion page of the DLA!

Before the webinar, Dr. Murat Gunel introduced activities and resources to the participants.

You can watch the whole live session below:

More than 60 teachers were very active in sharing their opinion about the relationship between the inquiry-based science learning approach and writing to learn activities. Examples of writing to learn activities (lecture notes, creating posters, writing letters and descriptive texts etc.) were shared and implementation oriented suggestions were discussed.
