Miryam is a qualified teacher in Science, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science teacher and has just completed two years' participation in the Amgen Teach Community.

Even for an experienced teacher like Miryam, Amgen Teach results are extremely effective. According to Miryam, "After completing a variety of Amgen Teach Workshops, my confidence and ability to use inquiry-based science education in the classroom has really improved as the techniques demonstrated were given with such clarity. This has made learning and teaching these new skills very easy to deliver to my students."

Her classroom planning and delivery has been positively influenced by the inquiry-based approach. "Although challenging, I feel it so worthwhile as the evidence is displayed in the students' ability to understand concepts and carry out the experiments with confidence." She adds that since participating in Amgen Teach, she now has "the skills to demonstrate hands-on activities and use a variety of books and IT resources." Impressed with the results, Miryam intends to share the experience and skills she learned with Amgen Teach "in order to help others achieve similar outcomes."
